In attempt to use some of the scraps in my stash I made these ten pink bow-tie units:
Each unit finishes at 6" square. Most of them were made as Leaders and Enders, but yesterday I cut off the bonus triangles from the last four and put those bow-ties together. Now I'm wondering what to do with 1.5" unfinished HSTs. Any ideas?
and these are just the pink ones! |

Pretty bow ties! I'm doing some too for the RSC.
You've got a lot of fun projects moving along here throughout July! As for what to do with those HSTs, hmmm. I've made a couple of mini quilts out of them. But I do have a big bunch of various sizes I'm saving up to put into one throw size scrap quilt, with the same size HSTs in the same row.
love those little bitty leftover blocks
Save them up, Marly. They might become a frame for a block which is too small and needs to be expend, or fillers for a mini wall hanging, or just a splash of color on a project of a different color; who knows? The possibilities are endless. Well done with the color of the month. ;^)
I always love your bowties - they are such a great block! Do you have those little leftover HSTs in all the colors? Maybe they could go together to make some pinwheels for a border or cornerstones.
The bowties are wonderful. HSTs definitely need to go into something. What about Shoo Fly blocks or Broken Dishes brocks?
Bowtie blocks are a favorite of mine. But those tiny HSTs - not so much!
Thanks for linking up with Oh Scrap!
Very pretty in pink bow tie blocks! I'm not a fan of tiny blocks, but do you have enough to use for the border?
Those PINK Bow ties turned out great, but I absolutely LOVE those sweet little HSTs!!!
Definitely a fan of your pink bowties! Wait until the end of the year when you'll have all those tiny hst's together, you can then decide on a plan to use them!
