Once again I didn't manage much rainbow work:
As you can see at first I had the fabrics switched, but I'm sure they'll come in handy before the end of April.
I used this McCall's tutorial to make the flying geese.units. In this method the large square gives the four large triangles, and the four small squares give the eight small triangles.
So here the flying geese units need:
1 large square = light
4 small squares = dark
I'm sure lots of other people have done much more, so head over to Soscrappy to see what they've made.
Happy sewing
Marly.

Cute block and neat purples!!
Super cute pink flowers on that lavender background! I have a fabric very similar to that.
Can't believe you are already sewing!!! Love the contrast of your blocks!!
Star blocks are my favorite. I haven't even started making anything purple.
Love your purple fabrics!
Pretty Purples!
It's a great beginning ... and you'll find a use for those flying geese :-)
I love this technique for making flying geese, especially when I have to make lots. Your block is a really fun combination of fabrics.
OOPS! I think we've all done this one time or another. Love the fabric choice for the block.
I'd use the "wrong way" geese to make another star in the opposite colours.
Pretty purples! You could always make a reverse star with those extra flying geese.
