June's colours in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge are teal and aqua. These are two colours that give me problems: I have difficulty deciding if they aren't really blue, or really green. Hoping for the best I made two blocks for the Squared Away Sampler:
This block, chosen by Mari, is called Country Lanes.
Further this week I added two sides to the Round Robin for the Kingfisher Quilt Bee which meets in The Hague. I took fabric with me when I was on holiday and hand-appliquéd solid circles onto a print background. When I got home I added the strip with circles to the centre block made by another bee member. More rainbow bear paws, but not mine this time!
And now I can't think how to go on! I've had lots of ideas and rejected them all. I added a 1.75" off-white strip around the other two sides, intending to add two chessboard rows. Now, however, I've gone off that idea and think I should continue the circles theme. Do you have any brilliant ideas for me? Asymmetrical is OK as the Kingfisher is part of the Dutch Modern Quilt Guild. I have another ten days before I have to pass it on. I would really appreciate some help here!

Love what you did with the Kingfisher Quilt Bee block. I'm thinking adding some black again maybe in the HST's format to bring back the center. Anywho, I'm sure something fabulous will come to you. Enjoy! ;^)
Your aqua/teal blocks are perfect! As for the round robin block, I love your circles! Why not continue the circles on the 2 sides with the narrow border, then add a narrow border to the sides currently with circles? Then border all those with a narrow colored stop border. Just an idea.... whatever you do, I know it will be wonderful!

The circles are lovely but I like the triangle idea as well.
The circles are beautiful! I was going to say a nice diagonal strip would be nice, but I also like the idea of a drunken path to carry on the curves. I'm sure whatever you decide will be perfect.
I, too, struggle with what is not blue and not green. But your blocks look great and in the end, is anyone going to know? I was going to suggest floating squares on the opposite sides of the circles, but it sounds like I'm too late. That project looks like its going to be a great one!
Your Squared Away blocks look wonderful! I think you found the perfect fabrics for them!
I have the same problem with aquas, especially at the lighter end of the spectrum. I usually try putting the fabric in between a green and a blue. If it doesn't match either one, it's aqua. It's low-tech, but it works! Your Squared Away blocks look great!
I have some trouble with TEAL/TURQUOISE/AQUA scraps, too. You made good use of yours in these blocks for the RSC!!
Everything looks so pretty here, your teal Country Lanes blocks are great and WOW the Kingfisher. Glad you've settled on the other two sides, sometimes we just need to sleep on these things.
Aqua and teal are tough to pin down :) Let's just call them beachy blues and greens.
