RSC14 week 21

For the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Angela at Scraphappy gives a new colour and some sampler blocks each month. This week I have made two blocks: Thrifty and Courthouse Steps variation.

Thrifty (left) and Courthouse Steps Variation (right)

I bought some new green FQs this week (see this post) and have used one of them, the polkadot,  in the Thrifty block. While my green stash are mostly yellowy green the new are a more in-the-middle green. I'm not sure if I like it next to the brighter greens, but I intend making a few more this week and hope they'll balance.

I'm linking up to

Soscrappy

so hop over there and take a look at other people's blocks.

Happy sewing

Marly.

They look great. I think all the scrappy rainbow midget sampler blocks we are making this year will look good together in a rainbow sampler quilt.

I like your blocks. What fun shades of green.

Well done. If you put them together with all the other rainbow colours they will look great

I'm finding the same thing in my stash, there are greens that run from grass green to more of a yellow green. I think they'll all work once you get all the other colors there.

Your green blocks turned out nicely.

Very nice work! I'm thinking how fun some scrappy Thrifty blocks could be...

If they look good together in a box of crayons they will look good together in a quilt!

I didn't get my block made this week, but love your green blocks. Not sure if I have ever seen the courthouse steps variation, great block!

Your blocks look great. Nice new green. I think the greens will work around all the other colours we have in the RSC. Don't fret. It will all be good.

I love reading other's thought on how well various hues work together or what hues they find most in their stash. I have to say I don't have much yellow green!

I think they will look great with all the other blocks (love them by themselves too!). I really need to get working on my green samplers..... only a week to get them all done!

Your green blocks are very pretty. At least you're on green! You visited my blog today and saw my purple blocks. I'm going to look at some of your other blocks, it's always so much fun to see what other's are doing!

They'll play well together, just like flowers in a garden.
