There was very little more purple sewing here this week; I've been piecing the backing (!!) for my 2016 scrappy rainbow and there are two or three purple pieces in it. That's come to a halt because I ran out of the fabric I'm using for the border of the backing. I miscalculated how wide it should be so soon I shall have a lot of royal blue to cut off. Meanwhile I don't have enough for the fourth side so I'm all set to visit the LQS this afternoon. No pictures yet; I'll post them when I've finished it.
I'm linking up to
as soon as the link comes online,
so pop in there to see more scrappy purple.
Happy sewing
Marly.

Beautiful blocks Marly! Love those owls in the ring of the first one, so cute.
Beautiful blocks! There are so many purples. I'm always surprised at the wide range.
The blocks look great :)
Pretty blocks.
Looking fabulous 😀
Those are pretty! I like the way you made the center ring stand out with the darker purples.
Your blocks are beautiful! Twenty blocks will make a nice-sized lap quilt. Nice work!
Congrats! on getting your Sampler blocks done for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
Lovely!
Those owls in the center of the block are sure cute!
Cute purple fabrics, yours blocks are beautiful!
I like them! Love the purple check
Hope you find the fabric you need. Your two blocks are such different colors, that's how purple is strange.
Miscalculating fabric is so annoying, you either run out and have to stop (hopefully you can get some more) or have leftover stuff when you could have spent the money on something else and don't know when you will use it up. Lovely purple blocks, I do like how the centre circles stand out so well.
Yes, purple is quite flexible given it has to live happily with both red and blue. But it comes in handy for the final layout.
