Once at the sewing machine yesterday I sewed these bear paws:

and then put everything so far up on the design wall.

| Bear's paw blocks will finish at 13.5" square. |
The block top left is the only one finished, and I'm thinking of unpicking the sashing and redoing it at 1.5" finished width, the same size as the squares. I shan't be joining any of the other units until I have all the colours finished and can make combinations I really like.

Since the beginning, I'm in love with these paws but seeing them together is even better. I'm soooooooo in love. I might have to copy this for next year RSC. :^D

Beautiful blocks! Lovely to be able to sew again. Glad to hear you can now walk 50 metres. That would get you to the letterbox to check the mail here, so you better keep improving so that you can at least come back into the house with the letters!

These blocks are fantastic. I like how the black, then white of the surround really makes the colours shine out. Like the all pink setting, like them mixed together - they work every which way. I'm glad you're continuing to mend.
