The Rainbow Scrap Challenge is hosted by Angela at Soscrappy,
who gives a different colour each month and many quilters concentrate
on using that colour for the whole month. Some make blocks of their own
choosing, but Angela also publishes block patterns to use in a sampler
quilt. This month's colour is red.
This week I have tried to assemble the alternate blocks next to the red stars.
I have a dilemma knowing which colour to use together with red in the alternate blocks. To both the left and to the right is a pink star (doesn't fit on the wall)
What would you do?

Hello Marly! I really love these blocks that you are making. I think I prefer the pink, it seems to create a smoother transition from the red. Have a lovely weekend!

I like the pink in the second picture.
I'm not doing Angela's quilt Marly, and can't quite get a grip on where you are going with it, but I think I'm with everyone else - No. 2.
There's actually a brown in there. The four patch is pink, red on the top and pink, brown on the bottom. The brown provides a link to the brown which will be in the top row. The connectors between the red stars are half red and half brown. This is only if you are following Angela's pattern. You can always do your own thing in which case the second picture is my favourite.
I like to mix things up sometimes so I might be inclined to go with the first option. However, I would wait until ALL of the blocks are done and then figure it out. Have FUN!!!

Great blocks. I think the second choice, dear.
For what it's worth, I like the alternate block half red and half pink.
I think whatever you decide will be fantastic. In regard to color I vote purple over pink!
