I used ordinary cotton in the bobbin and it did snap a few times but I slowed the quilting down and it turned out great in the end. I'm sure whatever you choose will be delightful :)Glinda ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/12388816201340955676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3778577918726427465.post-35689429974095703632014-11-12T12:07:33.260+01:002014-11-12T12:07:33.260+01:00I totally feel for you on the ripping out of the v...I totally feel for you on the ripping out of the variegated thread. I did a king-sized quilt and the quilting on it looked like my son had scribbled on it with a crayon (because of thread color and my inexperienced FMQ.) Your table runner is yummy! I love the colors of your little letters. Keep up the good work.Kathy S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/17282436357486708649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3778577918726427465.post-53379783825519600742014-11-11T03:03:55.796+01:002014-11-11T03:03:55.796+01:00I'd probably go for a light colour, maybe whit...I'd probably go for a light colour, maybe white or close to it, as even your red fabrics have white sections.

It's interesting, isn't it? I love the look of variegated threads, so I've bought quite a few over the years. But they only suit certain types of projects.Vireyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16464838238295059335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3778577918726427465.post-58540023048041951562014-11-11T02:34:45.576+01:002014-11-11T02:34:45.576+01:00You are in better shape than me with keeping up wi...You are in better shape than me with keeping up with the letters. Your echo shell quilting looks really good. I know what you mean with the variegated thread I'm not crazy about it either. Not sure what colour you should use. I'd probably go light.Lisa J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16367339236614679822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3778577918726427465.post-61736625129256822412014-11-10T16:43:53.202+01:002014-11-10T16:43:53.202+01:00Christmas table runner looks really lovley and hap...Christmas table runner looks really lovley and happy. I bought blue green variegated thread and struggled to use it. Seemed to suit straight lines for me more than free motion. I haven't bought any since!Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06507562992976793622noreply@blogger.com
